Sharif Ullah Gullu, The Player of the Sub-Continent footballer was born in Kohat, 1895 and died in1980. Belong from Rajpoot family. His father Habib Ullah & his grandfather Azim Ullah were famous personalities of Kohat, Pakistan. Sharif Ullah Gullu, in his teenage, joined the” Shining Club” and became a star. Number of Gold Medals, Trophies and rewards were awarded on his brilliant performance. He played many International level matches in Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, and other parts of India and win prizes. He was fondly known as “Gullu” in Kohat. He was an active and fast player. He was the former professional field Football player from Indo-Pak who played as a Right Forward and kicker. Regarded as one of the greatest player of all time he is the highest goal scorer in international field football. Sharif Ullah Gullu joined the “Shining Club” when he was young. He played for it for many years till 1940. Once during a visit to India British Governor-General of India gave him a prize for his brilliant performance. The man who was the highest goal scorer in men's Football and it was none other. The Kohat-born player was revered for his extraordinary ball control and goal scoring prowess. Played internationally since many years, and scored so many hundred goals in the International matches across Indo-Pak. His remarkable ball control with enormous speed was a rare and lethal combination that can be seen in Football. With his thrilling runs, body dodges and large leaps he could beat and outpace his opponents and penetrate any defense to score goals or create scoring opportunities for his team mates.
